Virus on C:9?
« on: May 14, 2021, 09:29:42 PM »
Hello,

Everytime that I play with Lonely Mountains on Xbox Pass, when I close it, Avast is notifying me about a virus: C:7\LONELYMOUNTAINS.EXE

Now is starting to do it with Desperados III too. C:9\DESPERADOS III.EXE

I'm always moving these files to the chest, but the thing is that I really don't understand what is going on with these games, these are legit games from Xbox App on my PC. I even contacted the support after the first time it showed up and they checked my PC with remote control, they didn't find any virus. These messages are keeping popping up when I exit the game.

The thing that confuses me the most is: What is C:7 or C:9? These folders don't even exist!

Thank you very much in advance!

Error-code -> C7 error usually means a command line error, i.e. it's calling for an emulator that doesn't exist on the system.

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

So it should be fine and nothing to worry about?

Thanks
