Can you schedule a boot-time scanning?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning.
Select for scanning archives.
Boot.

Or just run:
C:\Program Files\ALWIL Software\Avast4\sched.exe /A:*

Access denied means, generally, that the file is in use by another process (program) and cannot be repaired/cleaned/moved/handled by avast!
The report file is created automatically in <avast4>\Data\Report\aswBoot.txt

What are the full filenames of these 2 files?
It's normal that some files are locked during the runtime of the operating system... and there's nothing wrong about it.

Well... I can't find where I suggested to delete the files...
The safer and the better are to send the files to Chest for further analysis.
