EU says MS behavior unacceptable

European competition commissioner Neelie Kroes hit out at Microsoft in comments to European parliamentarians Thursday, saying it is “unacceptable” that the company continues to gain market share using tactics that were outlawed in the Commission’s 2004 antitrust ruling against the software vendor.

laws need to be put in place that set bounds on how business is conducted, what is and is not permitted when a company gains majority market share and the means by which companies can expand into diverse markets. There also need to be much stricter laws governing mergers and buyouts.

I fully agree but these rules shouldn't only apply to Microsoft....
Unfortunately, there are many large and small companies that don't play by the rules.

I don't care. I use Vista, AV is not OneCare (avast!), browser is not IE7 (Firefox), media player is not WMP11 (WinAMP, except WMP11 for videos) etc etc. You still have power to decide.
