Scanned count "counter" in P2P Shield should be higher than zero. If it is, that means it's scanning files in P2P programs. You can also check last scanned entry in P2P Shield provider to see if the path points to temporary or destination download folder of uTorrent.

Try to download eicar.com test virus file from uTorrent and then see if avast detects it.

It shows lots of files that were scanned so its working. No thanks I won't like to download a virus purposely.

The eicar is a test file not a virus but most antivirus programs detect it in their signatures, it confirms if your AV is working as expected. See example image.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I won't post a link to damage you, of course. I hope David's explanation is enough for you...
