Hello,

On Tuesday Comodo acquired the anti-trojan software BoClean for more information you can read Melih's post in the Comodo Forums.

The original programmers will work at Comodo and now BoClean will be offered free of charge.

What are your views on this?

Wow... good news...
Any link to download it or it is not (yet) prepared to be released as a freeware?
If I remember correctly, a new GUI for BoClean wouldn't be bad eh eh...
Thanks Justin for the info.

Hi Tech,

Melih said that they will try to release the new version sometime next week. Also according to Melih they will continue the entire range of products from the nsclean website, although I am not sure if all of them will be offered free of charge, however I do know that BoClean will be.

Below are some of the quotes from what I have asked Melih and how he responded.

Great to hear!

Melih, what will happen to the other software products on the nsclean website?

Well, we will continue with the whole product range. We will make available sizeable amount of resources to Kevin so that he can take all these products to next level. Kevin will be responsible (as he was) for taking these products to next level and we as Comodo will support him fully by enabling much more resources for him.

All we want to do is to continue the great tradition that Kevin & Nancy has successfully carried out and enable Kevin to make his products even better. He just has more resources to achieve it now

Melih

Next I asked this and am waiting for a reply.

Melih, that is great to hear.

Will Comodo offer the other services for free as well or will they cost just as they did before Comodo acquired them?

Yes I will, and I am sure it will be just like the current version but with the Comodo name, then they will introduce new features in later versions.
