Cant screen dump/ Print screen!

Im using Avast Home Addition 4.7 after having some problems with a Trojan Virus and slow internet connection. Ihave also fragmented my files after the speed was affected. I can no longer [prt sc] is this due to the restrictions from avast, or am I being stupid in thinking so? I am pressing the prt sc button and then trying to paste the image into paint. There is no option to paste and ctrl+v doesn't work either! any ideas would be greatfully received.

No avast doesn't restrict Print Screen or any other function for that mater, it merely scan files being opened, etc. and alerts to any infection.

WinSnap screen capture - http://www.ntwind.com/software/winsnap.html is a free screen capture that may work in place of the print screen, but you will have to investigate the link in the forums I gave.
