What version of ZA do you have, Free or Pro ?

What version of avast do you have 4.7.942 is the latest build ?

http://www.avast.com/eng/webshield_issues.html

- ZONE ALARM - AVAST Web Shield compatibility dialogue - Install/Update Question - YES or NO

If you are using ZoneAlarm Free you should click NO, because privacy features are not present in ZoneAlarm Free this will not turn off web shield transparent mode proxy.
Use a text editor and edit the avast4.ini file, the default installation location is C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\avast4.ini (I would advise you copy avast4.ini before editing it, just in case).
If you answered incorrectly, Locate the line containing ZoneAlarmCompatibility= and delete that line (avast will ask again, answer NO) or change the value to =0.  Save the edited avast4.ini file.

If you are using ZoneAlarm Pro and Privacy Control in ZoneAlarm is set to High and if you click YES in avast compatibility dialogue box the transparent mode proxy in web shield will be turned off you have to manually configure browser to access internet. To manually configure your browser watch instructional video

No it isn't simply that, it indicates two options, you can also correct if you made the incorrect decision and I couldn't be more specific as you didn't say what version of ZA you had and you still haven't answered that question.

So I can't advise further without that knowledge.

The reason I asked about your version of avast (latest 4.7.942, right click the avast icon and select about avast) is that on later releases it should handle the compatibility issue better. avast should now detect if you are using ZA free and not ask the question.

You may have to reboot to have things take effect.

As you browse the internet you should see the avast icon rotate, right click the avast icon select 'On-Access Protection Control' and select the Web Shield (if you can't see that click the Details button). The Scanned Total: and Last scanned: values should change.

The question won't appear, by changing the value to 0 (zero), you have in effect answered the question.

If you want to be prompted to answer the question, delete the line I mentioned in the instructions OR edit the value from 1 to 0 but note both, it is an either OR option, you chose to edit changing the value.

That is it all complete and working as it should.

Confirm by checking the Web Shield details and try this - Web Shield Test - http://www.eicar.org/download/eicar.com the Web Shield should alarm to this 'harmless' test file.

Ok, the web shield has found the false virus.

The values that you shown in the last picture are:

Last scanned:http//forum.avast.com
Last infected:http//eicar.org/download

Scanned count: 468
Infected count :1

What can i notice from them?

maybe i understand now: the values of the first and the third in the "list" change while i surf the net....is that?

now i think that transparent shied is active....what i should do for the incompatibility of ZA free and avast, ZA doesn't found any antivirus software...

Your understanding is correct, the transparent proxy is working.

There is no compatibility with the free version of ZA it is only the ZA Pro which has the Privacy function that cause the problem. You don't need to do anything else.
