Yahoo! Messenger version 8.1

is the latest yahoo supported?

are is it only scan when files are received or sent?
because when yahoo messenger runs the im module does not report any files scanned from it.
but it does show the files scanned from msn live messanger

Strange... Yahoo Messenger is supported by avast.

yes and i just updated the yahoo program.

i have reinstalled and no change. does it only scan file downloads?
it used to show the HTML and other files recvied by yahoo.

I noticed it too. The instant messaging provider is not scanning Yahoo messenger activities

Who into avast! team is in charge of IM provider?

Did you install Yahoo in the default folder?
Maybe the IM provider just scan sent/received files and not the conversation itself... I'm just guessing.
Anyway, the Standard Shield will stop any process/file that could be infected.
