How to secure webmail?
« on: April 17, 2007, 09:48:18 AM »
Hi malware fighters,

Some people like to get to their mail while away, and have a webmail account through their ISP (account names may not be identical, allthough that is a confusing policy). But a browser and webmail can be vulnerable to password stealing trojans, holes, embedded code etc.. When you have to give in your account name and password twice, it could mean there is something fishy going on. How do people secure against these things: browser redirects, hijackers, password stealing trojans, etc.? Like to hear your security tips?

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Indeed... none  :-[
I mean, I generally use an email client (Outlook Express or Thunderbird), but what can we use to protect webmail? Is it necessary besides the browser filters and WebShield from avast?
