Problem home-edition with outlook / exchange
« on: February 16, 2004, 01:10:16 PM »
Hello, I have the following problem on multiple machines.
Using outlook XP/2003 with a connection to an exchangeserver in cached mode results 9 out of 10 times in a hangup of outlook. Killing outlook and starting it again shows the splashscreen of Avast and outlook runs normal.
I've tried it on several machines all with the same outcome.
The machines are connected with a VPN connection to the head-office with lines in the range of 256/256  and  2mbit/2mb.
Anyone's got the same problem?

What do you mean by 'cached mode'? The 'Work offline' thing?

Also, you said:

Does that mean that in the first try (when the problem occurs), the avast splash screen is not shown?

Thanks

that's correct, it just hangs in starting up outlook, the splash screen of outlook XP / 2003.
