Hitman Pro now also as an online scanner
« on: April 10, 2007, 10:59:49 PM »
Hi malware fighters,

There is a new online scanner where you can check you files against. The verdict is not yet a 100% reliable, that is why it says "seems clean". But it is nice as an additional check. Go here:

Yep folks,

It started out as a windows shell with a combination of the common anti-spyware solutions and av we normally run separately. It was used a lot by Dutch IT staff as an automated malware scanner, and also by people in the RSA, because the manual for the on desk program is in Dutch, and people that speak Afrikaans can understand Dutch and v.v.
The online scanner now is a nice addition to sources like jotti and virustotal. Whenever you have a suspicious file upload it there for analysis.
