Accessing another site help please

I belong to cybertechhelp.com and all of a sudden I can't post. I posted on anything else board there about password help last week and when I went back to reply after changing password which i know was right I can't reply or post. I know I have broken no rules.

I have logged in and out, tried a different browser even registered again and I can't get an email from them or post a reply. All it says is I don't have permission to access or something like that. I request help and get nothing through email. It is so strange.

Can one of you go there and post in anything else forum that a member (perplexed) can log in but not post/reply and ask them to help . they can see my email in my account hopefully I can get an email from them..They can even reply to my previous help post are start a new one and I can see their advice on how to solve this.

Presumably you aren't getting an Avast alert or you would have mentioned it  ?
If not, then this really should have been posted in the General sub-forum.

However, a screenshot of the error may help, try again and post a screenshot.

All it says is I don't have permission to access or something like that.

Unfortunately most would not be prepared to create an account to be able to do a test post.
Does their forum have a Report to moderator function like this, if so try using that.  Though I don't know if having issues posting I don't know if you would have the same issue there.

What browsers have you tried ?

I thank you so much, I have tried IE,firefox which I have used forever and Microsoft edge. This is too strange. I can log in but not post I get this

I have done nothing wrong they answered my post so I know I did nothing wrong. I am a long time member so I don't understand why I can't post.

There is no way I see to contact moderator and if it was I can't post.

no I am getting no avast notice and I  did not see that forum you suggested or I would have posted there. I am sorry if I posted in wrong forum. I am simply trying to get help as this is so strange to me.

The fact that you're getting a message stating that you don't have permission to post should be self explanatory.
Are you able to post in other threads on that forum?

If you still do not receive the email then it's possible it was filtered by your email client. In this case you can either check your Junk Mail folder, disable your blocker software, or enter a new email address in your profile.

Unfortunately without the ability to reach a moderator it looks like you're locked out.
Any chance of setting up a new user with a new username and password?
You might even need to use a VPN if the block is on your ip address.
(It's happened to me on this forum.)

A screenshot of the exact wording and information, as I have said could help.  No guaranties, but without it anything else would be speculation.

Is this the screen you get  ?
Obviously mine would differ as I'm not a forum user and aren't logged in.

This is obviously a forum based error message rather than a browser based error, which I was trying to get at.  If it were a browser based error I would have suggested unchecking the Enable QUIC/HTTP3 Scanning in the Web Shield settings, but it doesn't appear to be the Web Shield blocking the connection.

thanks, yes that is screen I get minus the wording you are not logged in. I can log in just not reply or post.


I did try and rejoin and never got an email.I find this so odd all of a sudden this happened. I think maybe windows did an update so I have no idea what caused it. I find it odd I can log in just not reply or post.

I don't know if Note 3 in my attached image might be a factor or not.

I do doubt this is a windows update related problem as the message would appear to be site specific.

Do you happen to know any regular users on that forum and you have their email ?
Is so you could try having them contact a moderator/administrator and report the problem.

Thank you, no I have no way of contacting anyone there. It is strange I can log in but not post.Should I post on that other board you suggested?

There has to be a way to get this solved. I did nothing to be banned as I was in middle of 2 posts and both were answered.

The General sub-forum of the Avast Forums wouldn't change the issues that have been investigated/suggested here (just likely to result in duplication of answers).

Had you been banned, if it is anything like this forum (and many others) you would be informed of that when you try to login (and/or you may well have had an email notification).

Have you tried what I suggested in Reply #6  (last paragraph) ?

It was a bit of a shot in the dark.

I'm sorry I don't really know of such a site or how they would go about it. 

Looking in the site I don't really see any links for help related to being unable to post (login yes, but that isn't the issue) and no means of contacting them.

Thanks for trying, I have looked all over that site for a way to contact them and tried to join again too. It is like there is a block of some kind that is preventing me from posting .

Are you by any chance connecting with a VPN?
It could be an IP ban. If that's the case, this may help.
