The pop 3 service doesn't work properly under the
Right now it is stuck with not starting the POP3 service, and the error 0x2740.
At Microsoft Knowledge Base (292522), this error appears also under Norton Antivirus.

Please advice on this one.

This sounds like exactly the same problem as this one:;action=display;threadid=2696

Basically, you've configured the Internet Mail Provider to start - which is something you DON'T want to do because there'll be a collision as only one program can be listening on a given port at a time.

To solve this, just disable the Internet Mail provider by starting the Server Deployment Wizard, deselecting this provider, starting the Mail Protection Wizard and removing the protection from all accounts.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.
