Best setup for SBS2003 and XP clients?
« on: April 17, 2007, 06:45:42 PM »
Is it best to use AMS with the SBS suite?

Should the clients also be set to real time scan if mail is passing through Exchange?

Any good set up tips?

Cheers

I'd recommend using ADNM on any network of 3 or more machines.
And yes, it is usually advisable to run the Outlook shield on the workstations as well (not only Exchange-level protection) - because of encrypted emails and other potential threats that cannot be effectively stopped on the server.

Thanks

Thanks fella!

Have a beer on me for the prompt response!

Do I need to change my client Pro installations to Net-Client installations?

I think so right, to be managed by ADNM?

Cheers

@Vlk

I don't recall if ADNM  has to be installed on any Win or only the server editions, could you specify which ones are right ?

Thanks

Existing Professional Edition installations need to be replaced by NetClients - but the NetClient setup will do this automatically (ie. you don't have to uninstall the Pro Edition installations prior to installing the NetClient Edition).
