Using Avast With Mozilla Thunderbird Mail Program

I know that Thunderbird is compatible with Avast but version .5 just came out and now I notice that when I download my mail from the server there is no icon in the sys tray working that it is scanning the mail anymore.  I redid the e-mail program wizzard also.  I also have the box checked to show this as well so it's not that. I also checked same mail account with Outlook Express and the icon in the sys tray works.  Is Avast not compatible with the new Thunderbird? Any ideas?  Thanks.

I use TB 0.5 (20040207) with not problems. Server set to 120.0.0.1 and username is yourusername#yourISP.

Where do I change these settings you speak of?  In Thunderbird or in Avast...Can you furnish detailed instructions?  Thanks

I looked at my settings in Outlook and copied them to Thunderbird and it worked..Thanks.
