They did some early benchmarks of the Radeon HD 2900 xtx the other day. Results are pretty strange.

 ;D Seems they are not lucky this time  ;D I'm using my old new  ;D Radeon 9250 and I'm happy with it as it's enough for my pc from old ages  ;D It has DVI and i don't need any HD picture  :) Especially when my CPU is too weak even for lowest resolution HD video, so I'm not saying a word about games  ;D

Well it would seem the drivers are not yet fully ready and also i believe that they are having problems with the high latencies of the new gddr4 ram that the card uses. Hence the poor results. Seems like ATI still has some way to go before they resolve all of this. Nvidia is making huge money in the meantime.

Here's a review of the Radeon HD 2900 XT version they did just before the 2900 XTX review ...

Seems like that one is almost ready which would confirm my previous suspicions that the new xtx version is having trouble with it's gddr4 ram. The xt uses good "old" gddr3 and look at those scores.
