Is there a White List in the Avast Virus lab?

Hi, everybody,

I wrote a computer program for Windows and then sent it per encrypted email to myself, to check what happens on my computer. Avast reacted immediately and even dragged my program into the virus lab. I must say that I didn't expect such a thing.

Does Avast actually white list computer programs in the virus lab where Avast didn't find malicious code in? Does anyone here know? I would be very interested to know and also how long it takes. Thanks.

Short answer is NO.

Only if you are a developer and on the white listing program, all files would have to be digitally signed.

Reporting Possible False Positive File or Website - https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php.

You can also submit if for analysis from the virus chest.
