Windows Seven Desktop Icons changed to Avast
« on: June 09, 2021, 11:50:10 PM »
Somehow I created a situation where Avast Driver Updater is the only program that opens on my Windows 7 OS computer. The only files I can open on my desktop are music and picture files. I can't take a screen shot because the Paint program leads me to the ADU homepage. I tried getting help over on the Driver Updater Forum, but no luck. Can you help me undo these changes. Thanks.

Also, I tried going to pdfix.exe and it too is linked to the ADU Homepage.

I clicked on Windows key + R. Then typed "mspaint.exe" and clicked search. It took me to the Avast Driver Updater homepage. A few days ago I emailed a screen shot of my PC with my phone.

It might be some system issue. Try to reboot and reinstall Avast App on your Windows 10.
