Always ask me to restart??

I am not sure why does this program of Avast ask me to restart after install the updates or after the startup of my computer?? I was looking for somewhere in the program of Avast to turn off so I don't have to restart my computer. Hope someone can help me with this.

I was looking for somewhere in the program of Avast to turn off

it may be required by avast to restart to activate the updates
or maybe what FreewheelinFrank says in the post below also

It may be because you have applied an XP tweak in the past with which avast! cannot work:
