On-Access won't run ...
« on: February 19, 2004, 05:57:05 PM »
Hi,

I've got Avast for 3 days now but, I can't get the 5 services of On-Access running.
Specs:

Win 98SE, Avast is registered (home) and I did scan my system succesfully.

The systemtray (the one with the 'a') shows a little red sign. If I try to set the services to 'high' ... it won't react. Like, if the trogle-barr is frozen or some thing. And If I try to start one of the services, 'Standard Shield' for example, The message (I translate) "The task you asked for, could not be found" dissapeares.

It look likes the service is not installed (cound not found) but, the instalation progress is finished perfect.

Anybody know how to fix this?

Looks to me something went wrong during installation. Try this: Remove Avast, reboot and reinstall Avast, reboot. See if that solves the problem.
