It uses the - HTML:Url-inf [Susp] as the reason for this action.

Thanks for the link, which said that this was fixed in the 28.06 update, but it was still happening at least on 02.07 for me, with everything updated, so I have sent a False Positive message on the link provided in that thread.

Regardless of this False Positive issue, that still doesn’t explain why these quarantined mails can’t be restored from the quarantine vault, but get an error instead.

Whilst this isn't directly related to this avast program version, but the virus signatures that would apply to even earlier versions.

See extract from a reply I made in another topic.

This is where it becomes very unclear for me, if it is found to be an FP and this is an email (it doesn't really have a file structure) or an email attachment I don't know how these are dealt with.  For a bog standard file it can be placed back in the folder it came from and you should be good to go.  But for an email file or attachment, many email programs don't hold emails individually but in the inbox, etc.

This is basically a big file (possibly compressed) and outside of that folder you can't just insert it back in there as it could corrupt the whole folder, which could result in the loss of the emails in that folder.

I don't know what today happen, but my Chrome now work normally. For long time my Chrome was slow, delayed and sometimes just frozen completely. I suspect it was caused by Avast, because i reinstalled Chrome, disabled HW acceleration, disabled all extensions and nothing helped me. Now works perfectly without any change in my PC, chrome version is same as yesterday and yesterday was my Chrome very slow and freezing. So it is sad if Avast need many months to fix this issue. I am on Win 7 64bit Avast Free.

I also have the same problem with Chrome on two PCs with Avast Free.  So the problem with Chrome slowdown is Avast Free?  Did you uninstall it Avast?
Thank you and good day!

This appears to be a certificate issue. When I enable mail shields but disable IMAP / POP checking, I'm able to receive mail but not send mail. I need to figure out how to import the new certificate from Avast! I guess.

No, they probably fixed this silently, but after many months!

For now I'm waiting for the new official version.

But in that post I read something very interesting ... soon in the free version there will also be the firewall! Great news!  :D
Thank you and good day!

Personally I never thought that this would ever come as Avast Free would become a serious competitor for Avast Premium as there isn't much more in that I would really want.  This now has essentially become Avast Pro of old, the AV + Firewall.

The new update June 2021 have removed the Antispam App from the program. Avast Antispam is not longer part of the antivirus protection.
I don't understand why every year the people from Avast does the same
AVAST PEOPLE, YOU NEED TO GIVE BACK THE ANTISPAM APP!
it is important for some of the users, specially business users that can control what's a SPAM and what's a customer important emails that your fracking system decide to delete the content and just show the title of the important Email in my inbox you morons.
