Disabling Avast Firewall
« on: May 24, 2007, 03:58:56 PM »
Hi. I am trying to enter a multiplayer game in Valkyrienet, not successfully.
One of the problems may be firewall configuration. I disabled Windows XP firewall, to see what happened,
but the error continued. I have Avast installed on my computer, and only very recently i was aware to the fact
that Avast has a firewall.

How can i disable it (temporarily) to try and see if this is the problem?

Thanks in advance for any respondes.

There's no easy way to say this but... Avast! Antivirus, Home or Pro definitely doesn't have a firewall.
Out of interest, from where did you become "aware" that it did?

The most 'near' thing of a firewall is NetShield provider of avast.
For sure it's not a full firewall and won't conflict with any installed firewall, even less XP firewall.
Games could have problems with WebShield avast provider... but you need to post more info about the problem.
