I was wondering what would be the fastest wireless security mode WEP, TKIP, etc.
Also would like to know the fastest channel, or does that vary?
I have a Linksys WRT300N and a Dell Draft-N 802.11n network card for me Dell XPS laptop. Firmware is updated.
But the thing is that the connectivity is excellent and the transfer rate goes up and down from 40mbps to 243 mbps, sometimes 270 mbps for a little bit, usually 80 mbps.
Why does it jump up and down? I only have the router like 10 feet away from the router, unless walls have something to do with it which i think not.
