Windows 11 Creating Many Empty Folders

https://youtu.be/fqFgT6SzCbw
This is something Microsoft needs to address.
You'll find the empty folders here,
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData
Let Ccleaner Clean Up this Reoccurring Mess

Let Ccleaner clean these temp folders till Windows gets its house in order.
Ccleaner > Options > Include - paste the following for a default installation of Windows
under Drive or Folder:
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\tw*.tmp
Next under options select "Include files, subfolders and the folder itself"
Once that's done, select OK
Select yes in the warning that comes up from Ccleaner.
Next, Run Ccleaner. Here's the proof that it works.

I knew there had to be an easier way than doing this manually every few days.
Thanks Ccleaner

If you're using the free version of Ccleaner you can't schedule Ccleaner unless
you follow my tutorial on creating a Scheduled scan for Ccleaner utilizing
Windows scheduler.
https://youtu.be/MbDTv3m4s9c
I have another 720 of these empty folders created by Windows since the last
time I ran Ccleaner.

Time to run Ccleaner again with the special function I've created
to get rid of the trash. Still waiting for MS to address this issue.
(If you're on Windows 10, you might want to check to see how many
empty folders like this are on your system)

Reference your comment: (If you're on Windows 10, you might want to check to see how many

)

There are a shed load of these empty .tmp folders dating from 15/08/2020 to 17/11/2021.

Since they are truly empty I don't know what the overhead might be, especially on an SSD (as I have for my C: drive) on an HDD it might be different as it would surely have a minimum allocation size depending on the HDD formatting.

Hi,

I am using the official build of Windows 11 and not the beta version.
Usually, in Windows 11, after I upgraded, the hidden icons interface that shows when you click the show hidden icons button on the taskbar's corner is round. But now it is only round when I change the theme every restart. Why is this? Does anyone know?
Windows 11, Avast Free Antivirus. Avast One => Avast Free Antivirus. Currently using Avast Free. Antiviruses: Windows Defender => Avast One(WinDefender deactivated) => Avast One uninstall => WinDefender was activated again => Avast Free Antivirus

Take a look at bob3160's signature below his posts and you will see your assumption is wrong.

Windows 11 bug causes color rendering issues on HDR displays
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-11-bug-causes-color-rendering-issues-on-hdr-displays/
If you're lucky enough to own one of those HDR monitors, this could be disheartening.
For most of us, this probably not something we have to worry about. :)
Hopefully Microsoft addresses the problem quickly.

I have been looking at replacing my current (4 years plus) laptop and there are several larger screen (15.6 and 17") variants some of them are reported as HDR screens, some of the WQHD and even some 4K screens would have this specification.

How the hell did MS get to this point and not find the issue with HDR displays.

EDIT: Some info I found on them https://www.faceofit.com/laptops-with-hdr-screen/

This can help get you out of a jam but only if it's turned on.

Windows 11 - Productivity Tool - QuickLook

QuickLook is a great app that lets you quickly preview files in File Explorer using your spacebar.
This also works in Windows 10 but not 10S
