Author Topic: Avast Premier Security: Unable to "Turn On" the Anti-Rootkit Anti-Exploit Shield  (Read 1095 times)

Hello,

Last Wednesday, I installed the Avast Premier Security antivirus. In the application's user graphic interface I saw I had 3 notifications. When I clicked it, two of the notifications showed the recommendation to turn on the Anti-Rootkit and Anti-Exploit Shields, but when I clicked the "Turn On" green button, nothing happened. I tried several times, but I got the same outcome.

Repair Avast:
1. Avast GUI -> Settings -> Troubleshooting
2. Click on 'REPAIR APP'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

In this case a repair would be also my first advice.

But you can turn on/off Rootkit - and Exploit detection in the settings as well :

Avast > Menu > Settings > Protection > Core Shieds
