Cannot stay logged in to google on FF
« on: June 26, 2021, 08:34:39 PM »
This happened before and is back. Sometimes Firefox set to Google for home page will not remember me and demand I sign in again.
I've tried to change settings before but nothing seems to work, eventually it starts the login again instead of just opening to my page.
Any ideas or solutions?
Does it happen with other browsers? I use Edge for one thing, and no other browsers, so I can't tell. I've never logged into Google on Edge.
Thanks.

It doesn't happen on my firefox installation (latest build 89.0.2).

Generally I don't close all of my tabs when I close firefox, when I open it again, those tabs reload.

From many, many years ago I used to set my default tab to about:blank page and that never changed.  Effectively I didn't have a home page as such.

Now I use an add-on/extension called One Tab, this allows me to add a number of tabs (that I frequently use) into a Group. I can have multiple Groups and tabs within those groups.  If I had cleared all my tabs before closing firefox, I could load all of the tabs in a group (or an individual tab) into a window.
