I would like to see both an avast anti-spyware as well as an avast firewall. But, I would want them both to be separate applications/programs. Otherwise, a suite of programs is forming and those are always a compromise instead of what is best.

Well... it's not a waste of time, but a security question...
If you want an automated system that open/close the door of your house, so go ahead, don't waste time asking: "Who is there?"...

Then You need a Filseclab Personal Firewall Professional Edition from http://www.filseclab.com/eng/products/firewall.htm, but IMHO it's not a good choice, :-[ I rather agree with Tech in this situation ::)

You can use automatic mode in Comodo.
But you can use the 'lowest' level ("Very Low") of boring questions of Comodo and you'll be fine.

Comodo firewall is free ware as is PC Tools Firewall.

If you haven't already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and periodically run them, they are all freeware.
1. AVG anti-spyware (formerly Ewido) you can use the trial version for 30 days then it reverts to free version with no resident protection. Or SUPERantispyware Or Spyware Terminator
2. Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition
3. Spybot Search and Destroy
4. Spywareblaster Don't install this until you are clean.

is there any firewall that wont asking you question ( allow or not allow )i really don like this it just wasting time.....

the firewalls have a learning system to know which application is trustful and which is not..i dont think that there is an effective firewall without learning system...i have used pc-cillin internet security 2007 and its firewall wasnt asking me at all...but if u see this http://www.matousec.com/projects/windows-personal-firewall-analysis/leak-tests-results.php#firewalls-ratings u will understand that trendmicro isnt an effective firewall...jsut my thought..
