Downloading movies
« on: June 03, 2007, 10:34:19 AM »
I know this has nothing to do with Avast but it is a general forum, so I thought that I would ask about the best site or sites to download new movies, if I could also download TV shows and music that would be a plus.  I don't really trust peer to peer from what I have read.  I don't mind paying a fee for a year etc. as long as it isn't ridiculous.
I have been going to sites that review different places, but don't know which reviewing sites to trust.
I just got a DVD-R drive and want to play.

These 3 sites seem to pop up often:

The Butterfly Download Network
Shared Movies  (peer to peer)
Net Movie Downloads

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Roro Downloading movies is illegal in some countries. I see you live in the USA so I know it is here. You best bet would be iTunes or some similar service that offers legal music movie and TV show downloads

I don't want an illegal site.  I know there are legal ones.  That is what I was looking for.  I assumed if these sites had a fee that they were legal, but I must be wrong.
Are the 3 mentioned in my question above illegal?
