gmail + avast (checking emails for malware)
« on: September 18, 2024, 04:18:06 PM »
Hello,
This may sound like a newbie question but is there any way avast can check mails that I receive in my gmail opened in Firefox?
Is it possible?

I view my Gmail via my Firefox browser (and not an email client) - as you are viewing the content in your browser the Web Shield would be monitoring that content.

Should you choose to download something from your Gmail email than it too should be scanned and when it arrives on your Hard Drive, the File System Shield should also get involved.
