I do Security related Presentations all over the US for Avast. I've met a great number of people.
All of that, still hasn't made me famous and certainly not someone worthy of being listed in Who's Who.
This is just another Phishing scam and if you're gullible enough to believe this type of stuff,
your reward will not be fame but it certainly could cause you some pain.

A lot of users may have heard of and used this meta-scanner: https://www.metascan-online.com/
Even nicer is it to have it sit in Google Chrome.

 I have acquired the api and the scanning is quite good from inside the browser,
just click wait for the scan to have continued and wait for the results, like e.g.:
https://www.metascan-online.com/en/scanresult/file/d69724f46a834f1098df38413718d126

Where to get this? Here is the install link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/metascan-online-for-chrom/fjampemfhdfmangifafmianhokmpjbcj 
install and  then create an account and wait for the api key to be send by mail. Now you can scan.

You can also use it as an on demand scanner as you untick scan all downloads, and it won't slow downloads down.
So it is a matter as how you wanna use it. I use it like I use VTchromizer.
I use many of my extensions on an on-demand basis whenever that is possible.
