Buying an electric vehicle is a lot like buying a subscription to a car.

Not to mention a very expensive one, and I'm wasn't over the moon of its mileage per full charge about 20% less than a tank of fuel. There hasn't been much said about battery deterioration over time and number of charges. All other batteries, like your laptop lose the capacity over time, if Electric Vehicles are the same that mileage per full charge is also going to go down.
Then there is the cost of replacing them when that time comes (8 years ?), the closer to that time the less you are likely to get when you sell it (if you can even sell it). Currently there are too many question marks.
A vehicle that I was looking at from the same company as my existing petrol burner is between 3.5 and 4 times the price if purchasing. Given the above question marks, is it worth leasing and what would be the comparative running costs.
So it looks like I could be running my three year old very low mileage car until end of life the cars or mine
Some of the point raised in the article are a disgrace and I would hope local Governments would take action against such restrictive practices.
