Bob would be looking at a demand for the personal repayment of a part of that huge debt, as would every US citizen, rather than dreaming of free money.
No I would not. I didn't authorize this debt.  ;D
Had I made this loan, I would now have two choices.
1. Make arrangements to repay it or,
2. Declare bankruptcy if I couldn't pay it.

AIG has the same options so do all other Corporations.

Their mishandling of funds isn't my doing it's theirs so let them figure out how to resolve it.

I was talking about the US national debt:

http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/

AIG didn't make a loan: it insured some banks against home owners defaulting on mortgages. Those mortgages turned out to be duff.

Some of those duff mortgages were repackaged and sold to banks in countries outside the US- which are now suffering. AIG is an international company and if it went under, the world would suffer.

With the US hugely in debt, it can't risk pissing off the rest of the world, because it needs to borrow more, so sorry Bob, your pipe dream is never going to happen.

As Time said: They had a party, now you're going to pay...

Having gone through a personal bankruptcy and still living with its consequences I think I would rather watch Homer Simpson and have Duff beer or two.

All the more reason to say know and deny the bailout.
If you can't and wouln't bail out the little guy, then why treat the big boys any differently?
The other countries that bought these faulty loans also have no right to bailed out. "Sorry Charley"  ;D

Bob, the world has you personally by the nads to the tune of $32,637.80.

http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/

Where do you think that $425,000.00 you plan to award yourself would come from?

From the same people that lent you the $32,637.80.

Now if you tell those people to go whistle while AIG collapses, do you think they're more likely to...

a) happily lend you more money
b) refuse, scowl with an evil grin and apply a tightening grip to you previously mentioned nether regions?

I think it should be a suspended sentence.

Hung by the neck until they learn not to do it again, but hopefully it will be a huge financial hit.

Disguise Your Email Address in Newsgroups, Forums, Blog Comments, Chat

To avoid ending on a spammer's mailing list when you post to a web forum or a newsgroup, you can

    * disguise your email address by inserting something obvious into it.

If my email address is me@example.com, I can modify it to read me@EXAdelete_thisMPLE.com, for example. I will not get spam at that email address since all messages to it will bounce, but people who want to send me an email can still do so after they remove "delete_this" from the address.

Obscuring your email address does make sending mail a bit more difficult. But this is not always a disadvantage.

Can't use what??? the email address I posted is an example of how to disguise your real email address
so that it's usable by a real person when following the instructions but, it's no good to a robot.

Well... we're posting two different things... I'm telling about how to use a real email address (not yours) to receive a mail and do not reveal your own email to spammers...
