Customize The Start Menu?s Power Boot Option In Windows 7

By default, Windows 7 displays the Shut Down button on the Start menu.
If you frequently restart your computer, it may be more useful if the power boot option
on the Start menu is changed to Restart, instead of Shut Down.

To change the Start menu's power button in Windows 7:

Right click the Start button.
Click Properties.
Set the Power boot action to Restart.
Click OK.
The power boot option on the Start menu is changed to Restart.

I like my system to Shutdown when I press the power button.

If I want to Restart go to Start then Shut down >  Restart

YoKenny,

You might like CCleaner's Shutdown.
