When you enter an address you will see a picture of that place.
There's a little map with a little man on it - you can move the little man
up and down the block if you need to.
I just looked at my home!

For me this came up across the street but since I'm familiar with Google Map,
it took very little effort to tun it around and here is the result:

Sorry but I think Google Street View can be used to spy on someone's privacy. Google has been criticized by many countries as a privacy issue. Use it at your own risk.

Criticised, but not blocked or made illegal, with the exception of a few cases. You can by all accounts have your address view removed, but that may just draw attention to it as in what have they got that they don't want us to see.

You actually using it carries no risk the risk is it being used by burglars to case the joint, before breaking in.

emmm, this does not look wise...! with street view you see same you see in street... so why it's bad?! is it privacy issue if you come to street (what is a public place!!) and look at my house or my car that I've parked in front of my house?! it would be privacy issue if it picture what's inside my room!! ;)

why not leave a web cam in front of your door then, pointing to your house ?  ;D Goggle Street View brings privacy issues, no need to demonstrate anything there, not even mentioning that Google cars will be back soon or later for an update, no kidding, they're doing that all year long, without anybody's permission...oh of course it's legal, governments gave their OK  ;D Sorry I don't like that.

I personally love it. It makes it easy to find an address since you can actually see what the house looks like.
If you expect privacy, you should have lived 50 years ago. Privacy was lost in 1984 didn't you read the book ???
Logos, do you know if they are hiring drivers for those cars??? I wouldn't mind that job.  ;D

please Bob, don't come back every time with the same argument, ie privacy was lost anyway, so what does it matter if and if, we're all compromised so why not just let go...this is so misleading, privacy still exists  ;D and should be preserved as much as possible, well at least for those of us who think that it matters. Otherwise yes, they're hiring sometime next month, I'll let you know, a good opportunity to visit France and be paid by Google at the same time (just kidding, no intent to offend  ;) )

mp3cut is service that allows you to cut mp3 files on-line.
From now on you don't need difficult programs to cut and create
a melody for your cell-phone. Three simple actions and your melody is ready!

Why bother with google maps which I believe are restricted in the display of various sites. That doesn't show security, etc. and that requires boots on the ground to check it out for themselves, so for that purpose it isn't great.

Hi Pol,

I use the Portable version a lot :)
I like how you can set the language, and it will highlight things, like in html it will highlight the different things...
