hey sorry about that, I've corrected the link which I thought may turn out good conversation point

here it is again:
UAC in Vista and Windows 7
http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9198158/_Nightmare_kernel_bug_lets_attackers_evade_Windows_UAC_security

I've been doing loads work offline so I'm rushing in and out of the forum, and obvious being bit careless about presentation
Thanks guys for noting the errors

Other stuff keeping me busy
- setting up my own Windows 7 system (probably run avast!free) - test on different hardware builds at the mo, and maybe look at home-desk /laptop hardware profile
- now on ADSL (naked connect - wire connection minus phone line) average approx 9Mbps - had hoped for twice that speed, but there you go...
- a home network will follow (probably avast!internet security x 3PCs - likely to become the standard package we promote for families)
- revamping my xp pro 64bit, taken to the internet first occasion since this time 2006 (loaded avast!internet security trial version)

And of course things can change...

Edit - all done except with avast!Internet Security only on one PC on home network (trial version on 64bit XP)

Home away from Home

This has been home for me since Dec. 1st and will be home till the 21st while I'm here in Arizona
delivering the avast! Security Seminars to about 33 computer clubs.
I've made quite a few new friends for avast! and new people to communicate with on my own.  :)

It almost has all the comforts of home except for Alice.  ;D

Yahoo has apparently decided to close it's video service.
Here's a portion of an email I just received:

Dear Yahoo! Video user,

After careful consideration, we will be removing all general user-generated content upload capability and user-uploaded video from Yahoo! Video. As a result, your videos, user profiles, ratings, favorites, and playlists will no longer be available after March 14, 2011. User video content from Yahoo! Video that remains embedded on third party sites will no longer be playable after March 14, 2011.

Yahoo to shut down several products, including Yahoo Buzz and Traffic APIs, in the coming months as part of restructuring, the internet portal said Thursday. "Part of our organizational streamlining involves cutting our investment in underperforming or off-strategy products to put better focus on our core strengths and fund new innovation in the next year and beyond," Yahoo said in a statement. All Things Digital reported that MyBlogLog, Yahoo Picks, AltaVista, Yahoo Bookmarks, and Delicious will also be closed.
