My prediction was correct!
(It didn't happen)  ;D

That was the second time, that this guy was wrong. (also in 1994)
He should find another job. ;D

As a Christian myself it always amazes me how these guys can claim to be getting this stuff from the Bible when it clearly says in there that no man will know the day or time when the Apocalypse will begin. Anyone who claims they know the date is by definition, a false prophet.  There is no date given in the Bible.

PayPal sues Google over mobile plans, trade secrets
"Well that didn’t take long. Just hours after Google made its mobile payment plans public
eBay’s PayPal unit sued the search giant and two key executives."

The recent ,as of now still uncontrolled, fire in the eastern part of Arizona
Is also effecting us here in Central New Mexico and beyond.
As you can tell from the following photo just taken a few minutes ago, The Manzano Mountains are almost obscured
by the smoke coming all the way from Arizona. Those with breathing problems are starting to feel the effects.  :'(
We came fairly close to this area on our way back from San Diego

The U.S. Government Asks For Data On Google Users More Than Other Country
Brazil comes on second. India on third.

During the second half of last year, Google received 14,201 requests for data on its users and it complied with 76% of those requests, according to its Transparency Report.

The U.S. government asks for user data more than any other country, with 4,601 requests. Of that, Google complied fully or partially 94% of the time.

The data requests are normally related to criminal investigations.

Good for Google. I hope the information they supplied helps in the conviction of those guilty of a crime. :)

Just discovered a setting in Firefox, not really sure how long it has been there, but I've only just noticed it trying to change a setting.

Thanks to google I found this:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/how-do-i-stop-websites-tracking-me

At first, I thought great, then...

Quote from: kb article
When you turn on the Do-not-track feature, Firefox tells every website you visit (as well as their advertisers and other content providers) that you don't want your browsing behavior tracked. Honoring this setting is voluntary — individual websites are not required to respect it. Websites that do honor this setting should automatically stop tracking your behavior without any further action from you.

So it may not be as useful as I first thought...though something to have checked, for those that will  honor it.

Anyone know when it was introduced?

... better off with adding this to your AB+ subscriptions:

... this way, whether sites do comply or not, they're screwed ;D

Space shuttle Atlantis in historic final lift-off
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-14077893

The last ever space shuttle to make the journey into space.

One of my favorite engineering feats that I think will not be bettered for a while (if at all)
