Saw that I gave the right secure add-on link from Mozilla there. If the extension is there you can go tools in the browser bar, and to the add on in the drop down menu, click Configuration Mania and see for yourself what preferences are there for you: Browser - Security - HTTPNetwork - Ui -Debug. It is an ultimate tweaker and refining the possibilities of the Options... also under tools. Clever people these Japanese Mozilla experts.. the other link is telling you the pro and cons of certain chrome settings and configuration.

Features (How to Use)

All features are on this extension's setting dialog. Click Tool -> Options -> "Configuration Mania"... to open setting dialog.
Configure hidden prefs

There are various hidden preferences on firefox. It is technical and difficult to configure with about:config. Configuration Mania allow you to do it easily.

You configure them in same way of firefox default option dialog, after opening this extension's setting dialog.
Recommended prefs

Security -> JavaScript -> Pop-up Windows -> Popup Windows on the Tabbed Browsing
    You can disallow the popup windows to open new window, and get single-window-mode firefox!
Security -> Others -> Force to Delete cookies after ... days
    Specifies the reservation days until long-expiration cookies is compulsorily deleted.
Browser -> UserAgent
    Allow you to fake UA(your browser). Effective in the pages not to allow to browse without IE.
Browser -> High Speed Browsing -> Paint/Rendering -> Initial paint dalay
    You feel firefox faster by setting this delay to 0. But, sometimes feel slower on low-spec machine, low-speed access, or heavy pages.
UI -> Others -> Unix (X-Window) style mouse behavior
    Enabled on Windows PC to Emulate Unix-like mouse behavior.
Security -> Network -> Referer request-header
    Allow to hide Referer where you come from. Effective in hiding parts of your privacy. However it may happen trouble on some page (particular shopping site.)
HTTP Network -> Advanced -> Maximum session connection
    It is a convenient setting of Firefox for high-speed. Use it together with HTTP Network -> Connection -> Enable pipelining.
Debug
    Helpful for XUL development.

Hi drhayden,

I do as it is set by default for now, except that it took the tag out enable disk cache under debug.
Later when I come to something essential to be preferential I will inform you.
The other tweaking I do on the fly using my Cookie Editor and Stealther add-ons. It seems now my personal Flock is going to fit like a glove,  more or less. It is also that this Configuration Mania extension is also enhancing your privacy. Just have to see that it agrees with my User Agent Switcher add-on, but I think there is no conflict.

Hi Dan,

That is just the opposite of the type of browser we are slowly but surely acquiring. That n00b browser is called the Frankenfox browser. When Frankenstein installed his browser he could choose from Frankenfox or Frankenflock.

Nice that one and on his screen the real Frankenfox browser looked somewhat like I have shown below. It had 200 Frankenfox Extensions.

Really one of the more interesting tweaking extensions for FF around.
According to my humble opinion configuration mania does not rank
among extensions like ABP or NoScript, but come in the same class
as Locationbar2 and Stealther.
A browser would not come as I have tweaked it as by default,
because this would bring an outcry from the commercializers of
the Web, that need to track and tunnel "as to their purse's delight",
but is our free choice to decide otherwise. Security and privacy are
Polonus's first aims where browsers are concerned, but to-day that
is a helluva job to achieve, say almost impossible in transparant
"browser coockoo land".
