Hi, I installed avast after installing windows 11 on my laptop as I wanted better security than windows defender and my dad had used your products for years with no issue. After installing the Windows Desktop Manager Process was taking upto 70% of my CPU usage making it difficult for my laptop to function. I didn't know what the problem was and decided to uninstall avast to see if it would help and there is no longer a problem. I would like to report this issue to you so you could possibly try to figure out what caused this before windows 11 is released generally.

Sorry, the process is actually called Desktop Window Manager.

Windows 11 is still beta. Therefore, it's possible not all things function
as expected. I also use Windows 11 as a Windows insider on 2 of my systems but, have not seen any problems.
The latest release also addresses and fixes some problems reported in the original release. You might also find help in the following thread,
