Avast Subscription and GUI
« on: July 10, 2021, 08:32:17 PM »
Hi there,
I've been running Fedora for years along with ESET Nod32 as antivirus, but it has a very big flaw: no real time scan, which Avast seems to have.
On Windows, I've been a loyal Avast user ever since 2010 and I still have an Avast Premier subscription:

I would like to switch to Avast on Linux as well and ditch Nod32, however I'm concerned about one important thing: it seems that Avast on Linux doesn't have a GUI, why?
Is it possible to run a GUI on Linux just like the one I'm so used to on Windows?
On top of that, is the subscription different every time? Can't I use a single subscription for Linux and Windows devices?
Main: ESET Nod32  - Fedora Linux x64
Work: Avast Premier  - Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 - Microsoft Official Extended Support (2019)
Server: Symantec Endpoint Protection  - Windows Server 2019 x64

Hi, we don't have any desktop version of Avast Antivirus for Linux. The "Avast Business" version doesn't have any GUI and targets mainly servers.
