Outlook slow to update reading pane

When opening outlook with preview/reading pane on, scanning of new emails can take upto 5 seconds to refresh the reading pane.

Anyone else had this problem or fixed it?

I tried this Q in ADNM but no response.

Yup. I've noticed this on both my desktop and laptop running Avast 4 Pro. I noticed it a while ago, but I'm not sure after which engine upgrade the performance died.

I came to the forums to see if this was a known issue as we're planning on rolling Outlook (moving from Notes) to 100 clients at work and I wanted to see if it was me/my computers or Avast.

Thanks for the info Duncan. I couldn't believe it was only me!

I still have not found a fix for this but if I get it sorted I'll post feedback.
