I did my own hack to get it to work (without disabling the compatibility checker), but I have found that getting it to scan is like pulling teeth as there server seems to be permanently busy. So much so that I stopped even using it.
I have only noticed a few moment lag (10-15 seconds) at two bars. I assume this is while the site/ file is being scanned?

Hi Tech, I had to disable the compatibility checker to get 1.0.15 to work in FF 3, but it does work.
http://www.freedrweb.com/browser/  or
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/938
For me, even the download is disabled  ::)
Instead of a live install, did you try saving the file to harddisk by right-click/Save Link As of the Add to Firefox (Adicionar a Firefox) button at the second link in Reply 72? Then install from File> Open file in Firefox, this is how I did it.

I can't right click the button... It's disabled...

That's odd. ???  Direct download link - right-click/Save Link As...
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/18831/dr.web_anti-virus_link_checker-1.0.15-fx+mz+tb+fl.xpi

The file is only 19KB but I couldn't find a way to attach it here, and you don't have a e-mail link in your profile.

Hi Guys,

I can't say I'll contribute much to this since I only started recently to get add-ons for FF.
Here is my list:

-Better Privacy 1.24
-Download Statusbar 0.9.6.4
-NoScript 1.9.1.2

It's short but I proceed with caution. NoScript I have used for a while now and I like that it blocks some of the flash commercials and what not. Download StatusBar I use since it Automatically scans my Downloads with Avast. Better Privacy is new for me so I have no clue how exactly it behaves. I'll give it a try and see.

Cheers
Computer Systems:

Intel Pentium 4 641 / 2GB RAM / Vista Home Basic SP2 / avast! 5.0 Home / SAS Free / MBAM Free / Windows Defender / Windows Firewall / Spyware Blaster/ Secunia PSI / Firefox 3.6 / Opera 10.5

Core2Duo T8300 / 4GB RAM / Vista Home Premium SP2 (32 bit version) / Same Software.

NoScript
PDP Download
RealPlayer Browser Plugin
Tab Scope
Toolbar Buttons

that's down a lot from awhile ago.

Better Privacy 1.24 is out of my Firefox. It deleted some files that had something to do with an university site. I couldn't log on anymore. The reason was that the sign in page was loading but the fields where you would enter your user name and password were gone. Tried everything I could think of. I ended up reinstalling. But I still kept Download Statusbar 0.9.6.4 and NoScript 1.9.1.2

I won't even attempt to rank them by importance.  Although I find Firefox to be perfectly usable right out of the box, each of these extensions makes Firefox an even better browser for me.  Three of them are not marked as "compatible" with Fx 3, but they still work properly.  Come to think of it, I don't use Update Channel Selector anymore.  It facilitates installing release candidates or nightly builds, but nowadays I usually create a separate installation for them instead.
