New Licence by script
« on: July 10, 2007, 06:02:42 PM »
Hi all,

first...sorry about my bad english :D

now to my problem, right now we have a lot of notebook users in our company (field workers) using avast pro.
the problem is that the licence will expire next month and we have to renew it.
if we will buy the licence so we have to tell the users the licence key....what means they will have the key, too...........and it will not be possible to call back all the notebooks to enter the licence key in the office.

is there a way to register the new licence by a script or an registry entry ?

hope you can help us  ???

regards

Hm, as far as i can tell, the registration data is stored in value:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ALWIL Software\Avast\4.0

"RegData"

However it's in an encrypted form so i don't know how you'd distribute the keys this way...
