trojan detected, and now no trace?

i accidentally clicked a link i didnt even wanna open
then avast tells me a trojan has been detected, but i accidentally closed the window (coz i fail) -_-
so i scanned my comp and nothing came up, and in the log viewer it doest have any record of the alert at all...
whats that mean?  ???

Sounds like avast! Webshield blocked the malware before it could get onto your computer.

Did you see an "abort connection" button? This button allows you to block the download of the infected content- you should really press this button rather than closing the alert.

As Frank said this is likely web shield at work (see image) and personally I think you are probably OK.

Though it is best to use the Abort Connection button, I think the web shield will be looking for a positive input through the button, I would hope that it would about the connection if you closed the window.

However, you should probably do an avast scan to confirm nothing was downloaded.
