aswServ.exe is killing my Exchange 2003
« on: July 10, 2007, 04:44:36 AM »
I'm typing this to you guys looking at the 99% CPU usage of aswServ.exe. For whatever reason it has decided that it will consume everything and anything my Exchange 2003 Server has and now it's getting to the point where i have to wait 5 minutes just to mouse my cursor a few inches.

I did some searching and found others complaining about Avagent and to easy up on some of the settings i have and i did that before and it just happened today. please I'll take any help i can get. Right now i had to turn the AV off exchange just so i can get mail (have AV on client outlook)

Dear Frank,

thanks for your message, and welcome to the avast forums.

The principal question is, is the avast tray icon (the blue (a) ball) spinning while the CPU usage is high?

I suppose this is a single-CPU (and single-core) system, right?

Thanks
