I have recently bought a Dell computer with Vista home premium on it. However, when I download Avast Home, my internet stops working completely. I have no idea what is causing this, my ideas are:
1. There was a free months demo of McAfee which has now expired - is this conflicting with anything?
2. Firewalls - what are they, how should they be set etc?
That's as far as I can go. Obviously, I am not very computer literate - some would say a lot worse. Any help would be hugely appreciated!!
