Update Error?

Despite that Avast is at it's updated version and like 10 seconds after I get an error message I can manually start the updater and it goes through and verifies the version is up to date, I got this message:

Last encountered error: Cannot connect to download48.avast.com (unknown:80).

Total time: 4:52

I'll wait again tomorrow for anything substantial, seeing if anything comes up (if I hear "Virus Database has been updated" then all is well).

In the meanwhile, I looked over warning logs and this is what I got:

Any insight/support is appreciated.

edit: oh and I found this on the notice log:
7/26/2007   6:40:11 PM   1185500411   SYSTEM   1652   The virus database (VPS 000761-0) was automatically updated. 
So apparently after 19 minutes, everything went to the crapper.

In that time, I have comodo and I got a warning about a connection from iaanotif.exe trying to work with svchost.exe, so I denied it. Apparently on the look over it appears the parent application for svchost is services.exe. Does Avast need this entry (svchost parent services) allowed to auto-update?

Okay nevermind, it appears svchost is the most likely cause of why it couldn't auto update for me.
