Question on Avast Bootscan version.
« on: August 07, 2007, 12:34:20 PM »
I am 100% aware that bootscan doesn't support MS Vista.....right ???

Is Avast going to release the next version for Bootscan supported for MS Vista platform, and why wasn't that been done when Avast had made Home and Pro compatable to MS Vista and not the bootscan when they release it.

I cannot remember how far back that was release for Vista without bootscan support, may I ask WHY? they left bootscan out for MS Vista OS.

I am still using XP Pro and I am not ready to move over to Vista sometime next year, I am worried about this and I would like to have bootscan fully supported to Vista as my backup bootscan for protection on our PC.

I know all about Standard Shields and Web Shields been using Home Edition for a very long time, and I am very happy ;D peacefully and very trustful using Avast..................I still HATE Norton who kill my PC very bad in the pass.........dirty little bastard ;).

I am sure everybody would agree, I am not starting a war....just asking why no hard feelings.

The boot-scan feature is unavailable on Windows 9x.
But it should be at 32bit WinNT/2000/XP/Vista.

XP and Vista 64bits are not supported (yet?).

The webpage is not correct... I'll fix it.
It's just like Tech said - boot-time scan is supported on 32bit versions of Windows NT4/2000/XP/2003/Vista.
