You are posting in the Server edition Forum of avast, your lucky I was inquisitive. Perhaps one of the Moderators will move it to The avast 4 Home/Pro forum.

What is your firewall ?
Does it allow ashWebSv.exe internet access ?
- If it does delete the entries for them and do a manual update and reconnect to the internet, this will force the firewall to ask permission again.

You're posting three times the same... Please, stop...
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=28560
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=28559

might it be that the person posted a plea for help and got no response until 13 hours later? I too would have posted it in every forum known to man kind if my computer lost it's internet connection and the listed prime source for for tech support failed to respond within a couple of hours. I would not consider this spam, I would consider this "the sqeeky wheel gets the grease".

Just an opinion....

If you don't get a reply, you can post again in the same topic (bump) this will bring the topic to the top of the chronological list.

If you cared to check the creation times of the three topics, he created this topic at 02:20 a.m. (my local time, in the incorrect forum avast 4 server), his second post at 02:45 a.m. (in the General forum) and his third topic at 02:48 a.m. (finally correctly in the avast 4 home/pro forum) on the same day so in the space of 28 minutes he had created three topics so they hadn't waited 13 hours for a response.

His first meaningful reply cam at 03:45 a.m. 1 hour 17 minutes later (not 13 hours) and it came on his third topic first, because of the chronological listing I mentioned previously his first topic would have been at the top if they had bumped the original topic and not created two others.
