my new password will not work?

i followed every instructions, first downloaded the avast v.4.7 home edition successfuly, got a shortcut on my office, whent online and got a registration code copied it and pasted it when asked but it will not be accepted, i even whent back and watched the instructinal video only to find that i seem to have done everything right and no new info that concerned my case, what should i do ? thanck you for your attention.

When using copy and paste, make sure you don't copy a blank space at the end. Try highlighting the key right to left.

What error message do you recieve?

What is the error message?
Is your system date/time correct?
Are you sure you do not include the 'last blank space' in the paragraph while copying & pasting?
Which avast version are you trying to register (Home or Professional)?

I sort of have the same issue except for me I had to recover my PC today so I'm installing every thing back and I went to Avast and requested them to send my license number and when I enter it, it keeps saying invalid. When I registered for the number it was on July 15, 2007. So what do I do now?  :-\

Did you check out the faq-invalid-license-number link above and follow the instructions ?

If so you could try getting an new registration key and not ask for a copy of old one, there are three options to click use the one that says your registration has expired (or words to that effect) so you should get a new key.
Complete the avast! 4 Home Registration form and you will receive an email from register @ avast.com (without the spaces) with your registration key.
