Heya guys !! I'm just wondering, now that I have access to DVD-R dics, what are my current free backup options. I know that backing-up is an important part in PC care, and I think I can finally do it :) !!

By the way, how with Microsoft's built in backup utility (on Windows XP) fair or Nero Ultra Edition (version 6) ? Will I be able to restore the data without those programs  (like boot-up restore), or will I need to reinstall the programs to get it to restore the data ? (If that is the case, then give me another free program, I don't have access the Nero Ultra Edition disk with me.)

Alright guys !! Thanks for your time :) !!

Nero is not bad. I suggest you take a look into Cobian Backup (http://sourceforge.net/projects/cobianbackup) and DriveImage XML (http://www.runtime.org/dixml.htm)

I suggest Mozy Remote Backup (click Mozy on my signature).
